Upcoming Savor Publishing Events 2009

January 17, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson will partner with Hofstra University to throw a Pajama health literacy event. Educating the community on influenza and the importance of vaccination will be the highlight of the event. 200 families will receive a FREE copy of Catchin’ Cooties Consuelo. Tolya will encourage parents to read to their children everyday to increase literacy and decrease poor health.

February 19 –21, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson will hold autographing sessions at the South Carolina Reading Assoiciation’s 34th Annual Conference.

February 22-25, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson will hold autographing sessions at the International Reading Association’s Annual Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

May 3-7, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson will hold autographing sessions at the International Reading Associations

June 14, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson will participate on a panel of children's book authors at the Lake Tahoe Writers Conference.

September 11, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson, the American Lung Association California and Contra Costa College will launch Operation Cease of Wheeze at Contra Costa College. Families will come dressed in their pajamas to receive a free copy of Wheezing Winona Weatherbee and learn of the direct link between low literacy skills and asthma complications.

October 24, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson and the American Lung Association California will bring Operation Cease the Wheeze to San Joaquin County. 200 families will receive a FREE copy of Wheezing Winona Weatherbee. Join us as we help California breathe with ease.

December 11, 2009: Tolya L. Thompson, the American Lung Association California and Children’s Hospital Oakland will bring Operation Cease the Wheeze to Oakland. 200 families will receive a FREE copy of Wheezing Winona Weatherbee. This event is open to everyone. Join us for a great pajama party.
